Bring whatever you have: a contract, a title deed, a judgment, a letter from an institution, a notice from a bailiff. Incomplete is better than nothing.
You leave with three things: where you stand, what can be done, and which deadline matters. Deadlines are the most common reason an otherwise winnable matter is lost before it starts.

Land, houses and inheritance
In this part of the country a great many matters begin with something a grandfather or a father left behind without finishing the paperwork. Fields, a plot, a village house, co-ownership between four cousins, two of whom live abroad.
A matter like that looks hopeless until the documents are actually read. Usually it turns out that one thing is missing, not everything.
If the estate carries debts as well, the rule is this: you take all of it or none of it. You accept the property together with the liabilities, or you renounce both. There is a deadline, and it does not run forever.

You do not need to travel for every step. Much of the work is done through a power of attorney, and the consultation can be held by video call.
